1986

Emcesa is born

Driven by enthusiasm, innovation, and perseverance, Tomás García Robledo founded Emcesa in 1986.

2001

The R&D Department is established

The R&D Department is created to develop new products using the research and control systems that define us.

2006

New plant in Casarrubios

Construction of the new plant in Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo). A 22,400 m² facility dedicated to production, packaging, and storage, equipped with the most innovative technology in food manufacturing.

2007

Emcesa continues to grow

The facilities are expanded once again, now exceeding 25,000 m².

2016

30 Years

We celebrate 30 years of history, and to mark the occasion, we take a step forward and renew our brand image.

2017

Emcesa around the World

We presented our brand at the most important international trade fairs in the sector: the HOFEX International Fair in Hong Kong, where we were selected by ICEX to exhibit at one of Spain’s official pavilion stands, and at Meat Attraction in Madrid.

2018

Revolutionizing Fresh Products

We launched an R&D project to develop new fresh meat products, reformulating them with new technologies and the use of vegetable or marine oils.

2019

Meat Attraction

At Meat Attraction, we presented two new ready-meal catalogues: Casi a Punto and Cocina Fácil.

Launch of new business lines, such as the NO MEAT range.

2021

ANICE 2021 Innovation Award

Emcesa receives the 2021 ANICE Award in the “José Flores for Innovation” category.

2022

Omega-3 Healthy Range

Launch of the new business line: Omega-3 healthy product range.

2023

Emcesa Ready Meals KITs

Launch of four Ready Meals KITs: Fajitas KIT, Cochinita Pibil KIT, Burger KIT, and Pulled Pork KIT.

2024

High Protein Range

Launch of the new business line: High Protein range.

Located in Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo), our production plant is divided in the following departments:

Sausage factory: This is where we produce our sausages: chorizo and thin sausage, long sausage and Catalan sausage, blood sausage and mixed.

Adobo and marinates factory: This is where we produce our marinated and spiced meats.

Ready-made food factory: This is where we produce our entire range of ready-made plates, from the most traditional to the more international dishes.

Skewered meats and brochettes factory: This is where we produce our brochettes and skewered meats with the different varieties of sausage and vegetables. This is also where we produce part of our barbecue special catalog of products.

Hamburger and ground meat factory: This is where we produce our ground meats, hamburger and pastes.

IQF Frozen Chamber: This is where the Individual Quick Freezing process takes place. This prevents formation of large ice crystals in the product’s tissue, which in turn avoids the cellular walls in the muscular tissues to tear and spill during defrosting, guaranteeing texture, taste and nutrients to be the same as the fresh product. We use nitrogen for this process due to its great freezing power.
